Please Read:
Contest will be open to anyone over 18 years of age who doesn't come
from a country, state, city or district that prohibits contests of this nature. Employees of Futuremusic, Inc., the sponsors of the Contest
("Sponsors") their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and their family/household members are not eligible to enter.
DJs: enter by recording a 60 minute, stereo music mix on CD or a 5.1 surround sound mix on DVD and sending it to Futuremusic, Inc., Columbus
Circle Station, PO Box 20888, New York, New York, 10023, along with your name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number and age on the
Official Entry Form available for download. All stereo submissions
must be on a CD. All 5.1 surround sound mixes must be on a DVD in the DVD-A format. All submissions must include the names of all tracks along
with the names of the artist, record label, songwriter and publisher associated with each song.
VJs: enter by recording a 30 minute (minimum) to 60 minute,
video mix on DVD and sending it to Futuremusic, Inc., Columbus Circle
Station, PO Box 20888, New York, New York, 10023, along with your name, mailing
address, e-mail address, phone number and age on the Official Entry Form available
for download.
All submissions must be on a DVD in the DVD-R, 29.97fps, NTSC
format and must include the sources of all non-original work and creative
commons licenses. Watermarked mixes are acceptable, but you acknowledge that
any mark that diminishes the integrity of the video art is not the responsibility
of the judges or Futuremusic, Inc.
All entries must be postmarked by October 31, 2005 and must include
a $20 US processing fee via check or money order payable to Futuremusic,
Inc. You can also pay via PayPal using contest@futuremusic.com. Please
include your PayPal receipt with your entry form.
Multiple entries from a single artist are permitted as long as each one
is treated as a separate entry. DJs and VJs may collaborate on a DVD
entry, but it will be regarded as two separate entries and must include
separate official entry forms and processing fees. All mixes received by
Futuremusic will not be broadcast or played commercially without the permission
of the artist. All artists keep the rights to their original content.
Neither Futuremusic, Inc. nor any Sponsors shall be responsible for lost,
late, mutilated or misdirected mail or corrupted CDs/DVDs. Entries that
are tampered with, illegible or incomplete are not eligible. Winners
will be selected based on mixing abilities and song selection. The winner
will be selected under the supervision of Futuremusic, Inc. Participants
agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions are final. Odds of
winning will be determined by the total number of entries received, and
mixing talent. The winner will be notified by e-mail and/or phone by
Futuremusic, Inc. To obtain the name of the winner, visit http://www.experimentsinsound.com
after November 30, 2005.
The winners may have their submissions appear on the ExperimentsInSound.com and/or Futuremusic.com websites. Neither Futuremusic, Inc. nor the
Sponsors make any warranties with regard to the prizes. The two prize packages, DJ and VJ, are not transferable. No substitutions of the prizes
are allowed by the winners, but Futuremusic, Inc. and the Sponsors reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. The prizes
are not redeemable by the winner for cash value. All entries and requests become the property of Futuremusic, Inc. and may not be acknowledged or
returned.
Futuremusic, Inc. will have the right to photograph the winners. Entry constitutes permission to use the winner's name(s), picture(s), likeness(es),
submission(s) and city, state and country of residence for purposes of trade, publicity or promotion for no additional compensation. The winner will
be required to execute and affidavit of eligibility, compliance with contest rules, demonstration of mixing talent and release of liability. All
entrants release Futuremusic, Inc., the Sponsors and their affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents and all others associated
with the development and execution of this contest from any and all liability from injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participation
in this contest or acceptance or use of the prize. Failure to execute and return any requested document within 15 days of postmark, or return of
notification or prize as undeliverable, may result in forfeiture of the prize. An alternate potential winner may be selected at the sole discretion
of Futuremusic, Inc. All reasonable effort will be made to contact the winners. Information collected herein will be used only as necessary to
facilitate the operation of the Contest. Void where prohibited by law. All country, federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
